Work With Me

If You’re Holding It All Together and Still Feel Stuck—

That’s like rearranging the kitchen drawers while your whole life catches fire in the background.

Maybe you’re navigating a midlife crisis that doesn’t look dramatic enough for a movie but still leaves you lying awake at 2 a.m. wondering, “Is this really it?”

Maybe the divorce finalized. The kids left and suddenly you can hear your own thoughts — and you’re not sure you like what they’re saying. Retirement is close enough to smell and instead of relief, you feel something closer to dread. The career that used to define you started feeling like a costume you can’t take off. The business that was supposed to give you freedom is eating you alive. Or you’ve spent years holding everybody else together while quietly disappearing yourself.

The worst part? You’re functioning fine. On the outside.

Nobody around you has any idea how exhausted you actually are. How long you’ve been performing a version of yourself that stopped fitting years ago. Or how many times you’ve started over — new planner, new routine, new promise that this week is going to be different — and ended up exactly where you started, just more tired and further behind.

And you’ve been carrying every single bit of it. Every. Damn. Day.

Here’s what happens next. You try to fix it.

You don’t need another podcast.

Or another book.

And you sure as shit don’t need another morning routine you’ll abandon by Thursday.

Meanwhile, the actual problem keeps getting buried under more information, more pressure, and more overthinking spirals that leave you exactly where you started — except now you’re behind on everything and somehow more exhausted than before.

The dirty secret of midlife reinvention?

Most of what’s being sold to you is designed for someone who just needs a little motivation boost. You don’t need a boost.

You need someone who can see what’s keeping you stuck — and isn’t afraid to say it out loud.

🔘 Spot the thinking patterns keeping you stuck in the same damn loop

🔘 Real support through burnout, grief, empty nest, divorce, career reinvention, or retirement transition

🔘 Honest conversations about what’s not working — including the parts you haven’t said out loud yet

🔘 A strategy that fits your actual life — not the one your productivity app assumes you have

🔘 A clear next step instead of another six months of spiraling

That’s the work I do.

So instead of reliving the same emotional Groundhog Day every Monday morning, you start understanding what’s keeping you stuck — and what it takes to move differently this time.

You might be wondering what makes me different from every other midlife transition coach, selling you a morning routine and a mindset shift. Fair question. To borrow from Liam Neeson in Taken: I have a particular set of skills…

My approach is brain-based and practical — because real life doesn’t happen in neat little categories and your problems don’t either. We don’t just talk about what’s wrong. We figure out why your brain keeps running the same play and what it actually takes to change it.

You can’t always mindset your way through burnout.

You can’t out-journal grief (trust me, I tried to).

And when your nervous system is screaming “absolutely not,” logic alone usually isn’t enough to create lasting change… let alone make any change.

That understanding didn’t come from a certification.

It came from nearly 2 decades in the trenches — trained in and facilitating the work of The Pacific Institute, whose programs have reached more than 50 million people globally — while simultaneously getting my ass handed to me by real life.

Caregiving for aging parents. Grief that didn’t care about my deadlines. Burnout. PTSD. Financial stress. Starting over more than once. Trying to hold everything together while my brain and body were both waving white flags.

And then life flipped upside down at 60 — because of “cat allergies.” I wish I were joking.

Since 2006 I’ve been doing this work — building businesses, writing books, speaking on stages, and helping people navigate the kind of change that doesn’t come with a roadmap — while simultaneously living it myself.

That’s how I got very good at spotting the difference between:
🔘 a strategy problem
🔘 a mindset problem
🔘 and a life problem pretending to be something else

Getting body-slammed by your own life while helping other people through theirs teaches you a few things.

Which probably explains both the coffee dependency and the slightly alarming number of notebooks.

Borrow My Brain For a Bit

Not sure where to start?  Here are 3 ways to work together — wherever you are right now.

The Midlife Reboot

Reset Your Brain, Energy, and Boundaries in 21 Days—Without Adding More to Your Plate.

When your brain is screaming NOPE… you don’t need another goal. You need a lifeline. This brain-based reboot helps you bypass the panic (hey, amygdala) and come back to the part of you that plans, decides, and actually gives a shit (hello again, prefrontal cortex).

Takes about 10–15 minutes a day. More if you want it. Less if that’s all you’ve got.

Life Blew Up. Now What?

You can buy another planner, read another book, listen to another podcast, and swear this is the week you’ll finally figure it out. Or you can spend one focused hour getting to the root of the thing that’s been keeping you stalled.

This is an intentional entry-point session and a rare way to work with me 1:1 at this rate. A 60-minute session isn’t something I typically offer at $97, but this format exists for one reason: to help you get unstuck quickly—without committing to long-term coaching or a multi-month program.

It’s designed to make a meaningful difference fast.

“I booked the Stuck to Started session, not expecting a lot out of it since I’d done something like this before. I thought we’d talk about what was frustrating me in my business, but what came out was surprising. Joyce has a way of helping you see the real problem without making you feel ridiculous for being stuck in it. I left with clarity, an actual plan, and feeling calmer than I had in months.”

If you’re finally ready to do the damn thing…   you’ve got options.

What to Expect When Working With Me

01. Honesty Without Sugarcoating

02. Science-Backed Information in Layman’s Terms

03. Humor — Because This Doesn’t Have to Feel Like a Root Canal

04. Skills You’ll Use — Not Notes You’ll Never Read Again

This is coaching, not therapy — and one of my superpowers is telling you what you actually need to hear instead of what feels comfortable to say. Not mean. The kind of feedback that makes you go “well, crap” and then finally do something about it.

Everything I teach is rooted in neuroscience, positive psychology, and nearly two decades of real-world application. No guessing. No toxic positivity dressed up as strategy. Just the brain stuff explained in plain English so you can actually use it.

Will you cry? Possibly. But we’ll also laugh at the absurdity of life, other people, and the stories we’ve been telling ourselves for decades. Growth doesn’t have to be heavy and humorless to count. I refuse to make it that way.

Knowing what you should do and doing it are two completely different things. We don’t just talk about change — we build the patterns, practice them, and make them stick. You leave with something you can use, not a journal full of insights you’ll revisit once and forget.

Let’s find out how I can support you in change for the better.

UNstuck

A personal recalibration 1:1 coaching experience for women navigating midlife reinvention, burnout, major life transitions, and the uncomfortable realization that the life they built no longer fits the person they’ve become.

You’re tired of overthinking every decision, carrying everybody else emotionally, and functioning so well on the outside that almost nobody realizes how exhausted you are.

That’s where this work is different.

I can’t do the work for you. But I can help you stop lying to yourself about what’s keeping you stuck.

I came into this thinking retirement was supposed to feel freeing, but instead, it feels disorienting. I’ve spent 37 years building my real estate business, and now I’m trying to figure out how to hand it over to my son without completely losing myself in the process. Joyce understood immediately that this wasn’t just a business transition. It was an identity shift. She helped me separate what I really wanted from the guilt, pressure, and overthinking that had me going in circles for months. For the first time in a long time, I stopped feeling trapped between who I’d been and who I was becoming.

Turns out the way you navigate life and the way you build a business have a lot in common. Patterns, blind spots, and opportunities rarely show up waving jazz hands. If you want to see the business side of what I do, you’ll find it at…
